Membership Terms and Conditions
Effective July 22, 2010
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the membership pages of the Connect Thinking® E-Learning Academy (“The Website”), which is owned and operated by Connect Thinking Pty Ltd (“The Company”), Australian Company Number 141 060 595. Connect Thinking E-Learning Academy, is a registered business name of Connect Thinking Pty Ltd, 5 Chianti Court, Glenwood NSW 2768. Connect Thinking is a registered Trade Mark. Alison Bickford is Director and Principal Consultant of Connect Thinking Pty Ltd.
The restricted pages of The Website that require login details are known as the “Membership Pages” Use of the Membership Pages of The Website is subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By becoming a member of The Websites in any way, the purchasing person, organisation and any employee of that organisation are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. The Company also ask that you to read our Privacy Policy which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. No alteration of these conditions shall be effective unless expressly agreed to in writing by The Company.
Membership inclusions
For the duration of paid membership of The Website, the member (individual or organisation) is entitled to the following inclusions:
- Access to the Courses page and associated courses
- Access to the Forum page and any content posted by The Website e-coach, Alison Bickford.
- Access to the Resources page and any associated content.
- Online coaching (via email or Forum) by The Website e-coach, Alison Bickford.
- Phone coaching by The Website e-coach, Alison Bickford, by prior arrangement of time and contact details. Maximum 30 minutes coaching per week per organisation. Phone coaching is available to Australian customers only.
Membership purchase
The term “Members” includes anyone who has authorised current membership, including membership purchased by individuals, and employees of membership purchased by an organisation.
Membership purchase price has been based upon an organisation-wide use of The Website. Membership purchase entitles the purchaser to distribute login details (username and password) to any permanent employee of the purchasing organisation. This does not include ex-employees or affiliate organisation employees. Purchasers who are not purchasing on behalf of an organisation are not permitted to distribute login details to anyone. For individuals, a single month purchase is recommended.
Membership cost is stipulated clearly on the Buy Membership page of The Website, and will change from time to time. If you have a promotional code, you may use this to receive a membership discount. The discounted amount may change without notice.
Membership purchase is via PayPal or by other arrangement with Connect Thinking Pty Ltd, such as cheque or direct debit. To enquiry about other arrangements, please contact Connect Thinking directly.
Please read any Terms and Conditions associated with PayPal before proceeding with PayPal purchase. Please note PayPal will automatically deduct payments from your PayPal account until you cancel the automatic payment to Connect Thinking E-Learning Academy.
Purchase via PayPal will generate an automated registration and login details to The Website which will be sent to the purchaser’s nominated email account. For other payment arrangements, The Company will be required to manually send login access. Please allow 1-2 days for this process.
Membership login
Your single login details authorises you and any member of your organisation to login and access the Membership Pages of The Website for the duration of your membership purchase. When you login to your account you will have the opportunity to create a password of your choosing. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to manage use of the username and password within the organisation.
We encourage you to read our Privacy Policy which explains under what conditions we will use your information. It also describes the Forum registration which enables anonymous and multiple Forum access from a single membership login details. Access to the restricted areas of The Website is allowed on the assumption that you and any other employee of your organisation will adhere to these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to remove user profiles at any time if The Company assesses they are being used to post malicious items on The Websites, are abusing members of the Website, or if The Website is being accessed by unauthorised users.
Use of material on the site
Any material or information that is downloaded from the Forum or Resources pages must not be distributed outside of the member organisation in any form without the expressed permission of The Company.
The online Courses (listed on the Courses page) are not permitted to be downloaded and/or distributed in any form or by any means.
Disclaimer
All materials and information on The Website is the intellectual property of The Company. Expressed comments and coaching advice is the opinion of Alison Bickford, Director and Principal Consultant of Connect Thinking Pty Ltd. Although care has been taken to ensure content is correct and comments are not misleading, The Company cannot guarantee accuracy. The Company cannot guarantee the accuracy of comments or content expressed by members of The Website. The Company does not accept any responsibility for the information disclosed on The Website by members.
Links to other websites
The Website contains links to other third party websites. The Company does not accept responsibility for the information and privacy practices of third party websites.
Updates to these Terms and Conditions
As The Website evolves, we reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions without further notice. We encourage you to review The Website and these Terms and Conditions for any updates or changes. Your use of this web site following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the terms as changed. Each version of the Terms and Conditions will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date. The Company will also keep prior versions of the Terms and Conditions in an archive which can be viewed upon request via email.
