Privacy Policy

1. The Privacy Policy outlined here explains how Connect Thinking Pty Ltd ("The Company") will collect and use information about the members of the website www.elearningacademy.com.au.


2. By using the Connect Thinking E-Learning Academy (“The Website”), you accept this Privacy Policy which forms part of The Website’s membership Terms and Conditions. By accepting this Privacy Policy, and the Terms and Conditions, you consent to our use and disclosure of your personal information as detailed in this Privacy Policy.

The Company may log and record logins to The Websites and store the information in order to prevent fraud, renew passwords, renew membership and to allow us to identify any technical problems.


4. For security reasons The Company does not have any access whatsoever to your PayPal password or any password that is generated by PayPal.


5. On occasion, The Company may be requested by authorised members to renew a member’s password. Should this occur the member will be verified before the password is distributed. It is strongly encouraged that members change any new password upon first login.

On occasion, The Company may access members’ email to notify members of changes to The Website, such as release of new courses and other new offerings, changes to membership cost or changes to Terms and Conditions. Emails from The Website administrator will contain an “opt-out” feature that will stop further emails being sent to you.

The Company will not provide Member names, email addresses or other identifying details to business partners or any other third parties without your permission, other than to comply with any necessary legal requirements or legitimate requirements of any law enforcement agency. We maintain physical and electronic safeguards, and have procedures in place to ensure that all personally identifiable information about you is kept securely and confidentially.


8. You are responsible for the information you choose to communicate via the public blog of The Website. The Company reserves the right to remove any malicious or abusive comments.


9. Authorised members of The Website, including organisations and their employees, may choose to leave comments or posts on the members Forum. To enable individuals to remain anonymous, and to enable multiple users of an organisation-wide membership to use the Forum, contributers must register to the Forum. The registration link is on the Forum page. Members are responsible for the information communicated via The Website Forum. The Company reserves the right to remove any malicious or abusive posts.


10. The Company uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”) to monitor The Website. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use The Website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for The Website administrator and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser.

The Company may record and store other general information about how authorised and other users of the site use the service we provide, for example pages visited, referring URLs, search terms, Forum responses etc. This will help The Company to develop the site in accordance with the needs and preferences of The Website members. The Company may sometimes share this general information on how The Website is used with our business partners, without reference to specific individuals.  We record and store this information for statistical purposes without any references to specific individuals.


12. If you send us correspondence, either electronically, or by mail, or contact us in any other way, we may keep records of these contacts in a file specific to you.


13.  We may use the information in the files that we keep to identify and solve technical and other problems, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.


14. If you choose to use any of the services provided by any other organisation which you access through any sort of link to or from The Website, the disclosure of personal information to these organisations is your responsibility. How this information is stored and used is then subject to the Privacy Policy of that organisation.


15. Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce your rights under this Policy without Members explicit consent. The Company will post any Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice. Each version of this Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date, and we will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive which can be viewed upon request via email.
