  • New blog for Connect Thinking

By Alison Bickford on November 27, 2011

Just a quick note to say that the Connect Thinking website has been refreshed and is now a WordPress template with a blog.

What this means is that I have redefined the purpose of this blog. The E-Learning Academy blog will cover information and opinions about:

    • E-Learning and social media skill development
    • “How to” guides
    • Learning technology tools

The Connect Thinking blog will cover information and opinions about:

    • E-Learning and social media strategies for organisational learning
    • Work-based performance support technologies
    • Technology implementation
    • Organisational learning and technology trends
    • Our changing practice
    • My doctoral research

Use the categories in either blog to navigate to the topics you are interested in.

I hope you continue to find my blog posts of value. Thank you.

  • New course: Choosing and implementing a LMS

By Alison Bickford on September 22, 2011

The Connect Thinking E-Learning Academy has launched it’s 5th online course: Choosing and Implementing a LMS.

    Description:
This course will help you to ensure that implementing a LMS into your organisation is the right thing to do.

It will also enable you to develop strategies to help mitigate four common risks to LMS implementation:

    • Requirements mismatch
    • Budget or timeline blowout
    • Inadequate systems governance
    • Disappointing user adoption

Worksheets and tips are included in the course for download.

Choosing and Implementing a LMS is a natural addition to the other courses already available from the E-Learning Academy:

    1. Developing Your E-Learning Strategy
    2. Webinar Instructional Design and Facilitation
    3. E-Learning Project Management, and
    4. E-Learning Instructional design
